About Oxford Cambridge RSA
Oxford Cambridge RSA (OCR) is responsible to the Government
as one of the UK's leading awarding bodies providing qualifications
to students at school, college, in work or through part-time
learning programmes.
Vocationally-Related Certificates are assessed differently according
to the approved specification, but may include practical assessments
and/or OCR-set and marked assessments. They are offered across
the National Qualifications Framework from Level 1 to Level
4.
OCR qualifications OCR awards fitness related qualifications to a number
of key subjects, namely GCSE Physical Education, AS/A Level
Physical Education, OCR Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Exercise
and Fitness and a number of Sport, recreation NVQs.
OCR Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Exercise and Fitness
Candidates are required to complete four units in order to achieve
the full award - three mandatory units and one optional unit.
It can be taken in five different exercise and fitness contexts
as follows:
Exercise to music
Gym
Circuits
Step
Aqua
This qualification is appropriate to those people who are new
to teaching exercise and fitness.
OCR National Vocational Qualification
(NVQ)
NVQs are assessed in the workplace through observation of performance,
evaluation of evidence and questioning. They are offered at
Level 1 to Level 5 of the National Qualifications Framework
in a wide variety of occupational sectors. These qualifications
are targeted at anybody who is currently working and wants recognition
of their performance in the workplace.

Sport, Recreation and Allied Occupations: Coaching, Teaching
and Instructing NVQ Level 2
